Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your expertise will help ensure the safety, durability, and weather resistance of roofs, contributing to the overall integrity of our projects. Duties
- Read and interpret roofing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation and repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to cut, shape, and install roofing materials effectively.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials to ensure proper adhesion of roofing components.
- Install various roofing systems including shingles, metal panels, membranes, and flashing with attention to detail and safety standards.
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment while maintaining proper safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to verify quality standards are met and identify any areas needing adjustments or repairs.
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate construction activities seamlessly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roofing installation and repair with a solid understanding of roofing systems and materials.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques relevant to roofing work.
- Construction experience with knowledge of carpentry, masonry, plumbing or related trades is highly desirable.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, and performing manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to roofing operations including fall protection measures.
- Additional skills such as welding or masonry are a plus but not mandatory.
