We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires expertise in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive flatbed lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during transportation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Commercial Driver, preferably with flatbed lorries.
- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities and logistics.
- Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
