MET Technician – Prestige Bodyshop

We are currently recruiting for an experienced MET Technician to join a high-end, prestige accident repair centre in the Tonbridge area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional bodyshop specialising in the repair of prestige and high-value vehicles, where quality, precision and attention to detail are essential.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within a prestige or high-end bodyshop environment, together with a strong background working on electric and hybrid vehicles.
The Role
As an MET Technician, you will play an important role within the bodyshop, carrying out the mechanical, electrical and trim aspects of vehicle repairs following accident damage.
You will work alongside highly skilled Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and other bodyshop professionals to ensure every vehicle is repaired to an exceptional standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on prestige and high-value vehicles
- Working on electric and hybrid vehicles, including safe removal and refitting of components
- Carrying out strip and refit work following accident damage
- Removing and replacing mechanical, electrical and interior/exterior trim components
- Diagnosing faults and identifying additional damage
- Working with advanced vehicle systems and manufacturer-specific technology
- Following manufacturer repair procedures and safety requirements
- Working closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians throughout the repair process
- Ensuring vehicles are repaired correctly and efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship
- Using appropriate diagnostic equipment and specialist tools
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures, particularly when working with EV and hybrid systems
About You
We are looking for an experienced MET Technician who takes genuine pride in their work and understands the high standards expected within a prestige bodyshop.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an MET Technician within an accident repair environment
- A strong background working on electric and hybrid vehicles
- Experience working on prestige, luxury or high-end vehicles
- Strong mechanical, electrical and trim knowledge
- Experience with modern vehicle technology and diagnostic systems
- Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Ability to follow manufacturer repair methods and technical procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a highly skilled team
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Relevant industry qualifications or equivalent experience
EV/hybrid vehicle experience is essential for this position, and candidates with specific EV qualifications or manufacturer training would be highly desirable.
