Warehouse Operative
Location: Povoas Packaging Ltd
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, plus scheduled weekend work on a rota basis
About the Role
Povoas Packaging Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse and distribution team. This is a varied role within a busy packaging and logistics environment, ensuring products are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently to meet customer requirements.
Weekend working forms an essential part of this position and is scheduled on a rota basis. Applicants must be able to commit to both weekday and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against delivery notes.
- Organising and storing stock in designated warehouse locations.
- Carrying out stock counts and assisting with inventory management.
- Ensuring orders are processed accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organisation.
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Reporting damaged stock, shortages, or operational issues to management.
- Assisting with general warehouse duties and supporting colleagues as required.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Physically capable of undertaking manual handling tasks.
- Flexible and able to work scheduled weekend shifts.
