Experienced Café Cook - Full or Part-Time
Rachel’s at Marsh Farm Cabin in Hilperton, Wiltshire.
We’re a small, relatively new, (Dec 2024) café that has become considerably busier than we ever expected, so we are now expanding both our kitchen and our team.
We’re looking for an experienced cook to join us as we move forward and into the next stage of the Cabin.
We’re very flexible about how we fill the role. We’d be equally happy to find one great person looking for full-time hours, or two people looking for part-time hours, depending on experience and availability.
The role….
Initially, shifts will fall mainly within our current daytime working hours:
Tuesday to Friday: approximately 8:15/8:30am to 3:00pm
Saturday: approximately 8:15/8:30am to 2:00pm
As our team grows, we plan to extend our opening hours across the full week, with shifts potentially available up to around 5pm, as well as Sunday roast service and, eventually, occasional evenings.
You won’t be expected to work every day or every available shift! We’re looking for one or maybe two people who can be reasonably flexible with their working pattern as the business grows.
What we’re looking for..
Previous commercial kitchen experience is important, with experience of busy breakfast or short-order cooking and griddle work a big advantage.
Most importantly, we need someone who:
- Works cleanly, quickly and with pride
- Is calm and organised during a busy service
- Has excellent food hygiene standards
- Is reliable and enjoys being part of a small team
- Can be flexible about working a mixture of weekdays and weekends
- Is happy to grow with the business
We’re busy, informal and very friendly, but we take the quality of our food and the cleanliness of our kitchen seriously.
This is a permanent, employed position, with holiday pay and workplace pension where eligible.
Hours are flexible and can be discussed with the right applicant. We’re open to full-time or part-time, and our priority is finding the right person, or people, for the team.
