Responsibilities
- Perform laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, ironing -using an industrial press and organizing linen and clothing with care and precision.
- Maintain cleanliness of all designated areas by sweeping, hoovering, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Ensure laundry equipment is operated safely and properly maintained, reporting any issues promptly
- Assist with general cleaning tasks such as waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring storage areas are tidy and clean.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks effectively while maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning schedules are completed on time and to the highest standard
Skills
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality cleaning is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines
- Excellent organizational skills to manage laundry loads efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout shifts
- Clear communication skills to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team
- Flexibility to work primarily weekends a minimum of 3 out of 4 with some cover when required for sickness and holidays.
