About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team at The Mill at Rode.
This is an important role within the kitchen. You’ll help keep everything clean, organised and running smoothly, supporting the chefs during busy services and making sure the kitchen maintains high standards at all times.
Experience isn't essential — we're more interested in finding someone with a good attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing plates, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
- Keeping the pot wash and kitchen areas clean and organised
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Emptying bins and managing waste correctly
- Cleaning floors, surfaces and equipment
- Helping with deliveries and putting stock away
- Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Keeping storage areas tidy and organised
- Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures
- Helping the wider kitchen team during busy services

Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, as full training can be provided.
