We are recruiting now for an experienced full time nursery practitioner to join our team. You will be required to work 40 hours per week across 4 days (Monday - Friday).
The applicant must have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent (early years educator) qualification and preferably be trained in paediatric first aid, although this can be completed once the successful applicant commences employment. You will be placed within an individual age group but will be required to help in additional rooms when required, for example covering holidays.
Key tasks will include:
Child development:
- Plan, implement and review engaging, age appropriate activities which are inclusive for all children
- You will be required to track and create next steps for the children, therefor must have good knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and help them develop emotionally, socially and physically.
Parental partnership:
- To have open, respectful conversations with parents and carers
- Provide regular feedback on children's progress
- Work with families to support transition and their individual needs
Environment & Health:
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, well organised room environment
- Carry out daily risk assessments and ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are met
- Respond calmly and professionally to accidents or incidents, following correct procedures
- Follow safeguarding procedures and accurate record keeping procedure
Dysart Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore you will be expected to refresh safeguarding knowledge through our e-learning training programme on a regular. basis. Successful applicants will also be required to complete an enhanced disclosure via DBS in addition to two suitable references.
