We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting. Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in a residential setting, fostering their emotional well-being and development
- Support children with daily activities such as education, leisure pursuits, personal hygiene, and household routines
- Maintain clear and open communication with colleagues, families, social workers, and other professionals involved in the child's care
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies, conducting regular safety checks, and managing risk assessments
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, progress reports, and updates related to each child's care plan
Requirements
- Experience working with children or in childcare environments is highly desirable but not essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt approaches based on individual needs
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and reporting electronically
- Compassionate attitude with patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or sleep-in duties as required
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
