MorePeople are partnering with a leading food manufacturing business, looking to recruit a Business Finance Analyst to support their Commercial and Transport functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone studying towards their CIMA or ACCA qualification who is keen to develop their business partnering skills within a fast-paced and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
You'll play a key role in helping operational and commercial teams understand financial performance, providing meaningful analysis and insight to support decision making across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Business partnering with Commercial, Marketing and Transport teams
- Managing Commercial and Marketing overheads and supporting the Transport operation P&L
- Producing weekly and monthly reports covering sales, margin and performance analysis
- Investigating variances against budget, forecast and prior year performance
- Supporting forecasting processes, including rolling forecasts, year-end estimates and budgets
- Assisting with internal and external audit requirements
- Ensuring financial data accuracy across business systems
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and promote best practice across sites
- Providing wider support to the Finance team as required
Desired Experience
- Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA with a desire to complete your qualification
- Previous experience within a Finance Analyst or similar finance role
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, logistics or supply chain environments would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of accruals and prepayments
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and communicate findings effectively
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive, ambitious and self-motivated approach
- Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting sales-focused teams
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
