A home with heart
Gloucestershire House is a residential service with nursing support in Cheltenham, and home for up to 30 disabled adults. We also provide supported living bungalows for up to six more people. Residents are deeply involved in the running of the entire service. You’ll find excellent facilities, a friendly and positive atmosphere and a beautiful local area.
Your working hours
15 hours per week, 2 days per week - no set days
Ideally we are looking for an Activities Worker to work 7 hours on both Wednesday and Thursday, with the remaining 6 hours on any other day - however we remain flexible and are happy to discuss alternative arrangements.

What you’ll do

Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive social and recreational activities

Support residents to explore their interests and take part in community life

Organise outings, events, and creative sessions that encourage participation and fun

Work closely with individuals who are non-verbal and use wheelchairs, ensuring every activity is accessible and enjoyable

Bring a flexible, caring, and person-centred approach to everything you do
What helps you shine here

Previous experience as an Activities Worker is essential.

Experience supporting non-verbal, wheelchair users with complex needs is advantageous

Full driving licence required

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work flexibly and creatively, including occasional evenings or weekends
