We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Butchery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and preparation, with a keen interest in maintaining high standards of food safety. As a Butchery Assistant, you will support our butchers in preparing meat products, ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks.
Responsibilities
Assist butchers in the preparation and cutting of meat products according to specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the butchery area, adhering to strict food safety standards.
Support with the packaging and labelling of meat products for sale.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitised after use.
Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Qualifications
Previous experience in food production or food preparation is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A passion for quality food and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
