We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to work school hours at our Betamindes Day Centre. We are currently recruiting for an established cook & housekeeper.
We would like someone who can provide a healthy menu and meet dietary needs of our clients daily & working in collaboration with our daycentre staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Qualifications or a good understanding of Health & safety, & Food hygiene
- Be able to plan by ordering stock in advance & supervise your day around cooking (menus) and housekeeping.
- Prepare & cook a selection of healthy, hearty meals on a daily basis up to 20 people.
- Must have a good understanding of dietry guidelines, food allergies, special diets such as soft foods, gluten free etc.
- Be able to build and maintain positive relationships with our clients within our daycentre
- Recording food temperatures on relevant log sheets
- Prepare a range of home baking, cakes etc.
Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
- To ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Centre, including the kitchen at all times.
- Daily chores requiring completion
- Ensure all facilities are cleaned to a high standard as well as ensuring all household items remain re-stocked.
These are school hours 9am to 2pm - with the option of 1 or 2 days fixed. We would require availability for holiday cover etc
If extra hours are required we may be able to offer companionship, shopping, domestic calls with our clients in the community.
An enhanced DBS must be completed.
Full UK driving licence required
