Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bar environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, including bartenders and serving personnel, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Assist with cooking and food production when necessary, maintaining high-quality culinary standards.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure the bar is well-stocked at all times.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations across all operations.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Organise staff schedules, monitor performance, and provide training to promote team development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the bar area, including kitchen spaces if applicable.
- Monitor alcohol consumption policies and ensure responsible serving practices are followed.
- Collaborate with management to develop promotional activities or special events to enhance customer engagement.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
- Experience in serving beverages, including cocktails or specialised drinks; barista experience is a plus.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations.
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as restaurant supervisor or hotel management is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
