Bar / Club Manager, Royal British Legion
We are a well established Royal British Legion club in North London looking for an energetic Bar Manager to take the reins and bring the club back to life.
This is a rare chance to run a venue as if it were your own. You will have a loyal membership, a function room, a kitchen and a garden to work with, and a committee that backs good ideas and then lets you get on with it. If you have the drive to turn a club around and make it the busy local hub it should be, we want to hear from you.
What you will do
- Run the club day to day, opening up, leading service and setting the standard
- Recruit, train and lead the bar team and volunteers
- Manage stock ordering, suppliers and the cellar
- Build a regular events programme: quiz nights, live sport, music and more
- Grow the food offering and bring in private hire and functions
- Promote the club locally and on social media
- Handle the tills, cash and banking accurately and honestly
- Keep the club compliant with licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene
- Report to the committee each month on how the club is doing
What we are looking for
- Experience running or helping to run a bar, pub or club
- A warm, welcoming manner and a real people person
- Organised and trustworthy, especially with cash and stock
- A personal licence holder, or willing to get one
- Ideas, energy and the drive to grow trade and bring people back through the door
- A respect for the community and ethos of a Legion club is a real plus

Hours: Full time, including evenings and weekends
