Registered Care Home Manager
Location: Bradford
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
On-Call: Shared on-call rota (with either time off in lieu or additional pay)
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced **Registered Care Home Manager** to join a well-established residential care home in Haworth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate manager who is committed to delivering exceptional, person-centred care while leading and developing a dedicated staff team. You'll have full responsibility for the operational, regulatory and day-to-day management of the service, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, driving continuous improvement, supporting occupancy, and ensuring the home consistently delivers outstanding outcomes for residents, families and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the care home, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations and prepare the service for inspections.
- Inspire, support and develop a positive, motivated and high-performing staff team.
- Oversee recruitment, inductions, supervision, appraisals and performance management.
- Ensure staffing levels and rotas are effectively managed to meet the needs of the service.
- Take responsibility for safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and risk management.
- Monitor care plans, risk assessments, medication management and quality assurance processes.
- Investigate and respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and safeguarding concerns appropriately.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
- Manage budgets effectively while maintaining high standards of care.
- Promote the home within the local community to support occupancy.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership during emergencies when required.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, learning and person-centred care.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a residential or nursing care setting.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or be working towards it).
- A thorough understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and care legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Experience managing recruitment, staffing, budgets and compliance.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding, person-centred care.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
