Part-time | Fast-paced commercial print environment | Customer-facing & production support
Penrith Posters is a busy, long‑established commercial printers serving businesses and the wider community across Cumbria and beyond. We’re looking for a highly organised, tech‑confident person to join our small team and help keep the business running smoothly day to day.
You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager, Director and print team, supporting customers, preparing jobs for production, and helping manage the workflow- including covering key duties when staff are on annual leave. With a high volume of varied work, this role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, efficiency, and great customer service.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong IT skills and confidence using digital tools and systems
- Excellent organisation and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and customers
- Clear, friendly communication- both with customers and the print team
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new processes
- Ability to work under pressure and stay calm during busy periods
- Understanding of commercial print (preferred but not essential as full training will be given) - especially checking files are print-ready
- Accuracy with data entry and job management
- Self-motivation and a proactive approach
- Exceptional attention to detail
- A genuine commitment to great customer service
What You’ll Do
- Support the smooth running of the business
- Add jobs to the production queue with accurate details
- Raise invoices and send quotes
- Take customer orders in person, over the phone, and via email
- Prepare and check files ready for print
- Operate the till for collections
- Print photo orders from our online store
- Carry out photocopying, laminating, and binding jobs
- Build strong relationships with our customers
- Be a reliable, friendly point of contact people can depend on
- Having fantastic knowledge of print production and services we offer (training provided)
What’s in it for you
- £13.50 per hour, with a pay review after 3 months
- Flexible working pattern- 18 hours per week, between the hours of 9am-4.30pm
