7 Stream Media Ltd is an established video production company based near Basingstoke in Hampshire, UK. We provide services nationally and internationally with small, medium, and global blue-chip companies as well as the public sector.
Working across a wide range of industries, our main areas of focus are filming and editing video content, but we also hold expertise across a wide spectrum of industry areas from live streaming, and live events support, through to podcasts and studio work. We have also recently launched our in-house film, TV and podcast studio, Herriard Studios, which further enhances our service offering and makes us a one-stop supplier for our clients.

Our Role
Due to our current and projected workload, we are recruiting a full-time Production Assistant position with immediate start to join our growing team.
You'll work closely with our Producer and wider production team, supporting projects from initial planning through to final delivery across the spectrum of our services. Every day is different - you might be helping organise a film shoot, the next supporting a live conference event, coordinating a webinar, or assisting in our studio.
You will be supporting the team and representing the company with a wide range of clients and industries including Blue-Chip companies and agencies as well as liaising with a variety of suppliers and freelance contractors.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the video production industry either starting from an academic background or looking for a change in career direction. Whilst knowledge and experience of the industry will be an advantage, experience and transferable project planning skills in similar fields will be welcomed.
This role is an opportunity to work with globally recognised brands as part of a small but growing, collaborative team where your contribution genuinely matters, and to gain experience across all stages of filming, live events, livestreaming and studio production.
As part of the production team, you'll help support a variety of projects by:
- Assisting with the planning and organisation of video productions, live events and studio projects.
- Supporting with project administration and day-to-day coordination, and helping maintain project schedules, production documents and action lists.
- Assisting with booking locations, equipment, crew, accommodation and travel where required.
- Preparing crew apps and production documentation for filming days and events.
- Assisting the Producer and the team to manage shoot day and\or event set up and delivery in-house, on set, or at events, and helping to ensure productions run smoothly This may require national and international travel and flexible working.
- Reviewing edited videos against 7 Stream Media's quality standards, checking for accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail before client review.
- Assisting with transcript preparation, checking, and formatting to support editing, subtitles, and client deliverables.
- Helping maintain organised systems for project files, production records and digital assets as well as providing general administrative support across the production department.
Qualifications and Technical Skills:
Apart from your experience, we will also be looking for the following:
- Relevant qualification to minimum A-Level standard or equivalent.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft tools necessary.
- Experience using creative software or video production equipment would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Experience in video and digital projects would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Familiarity with project management software such as monday.com would be an advantage but is not essential.

- Can stay calm, practical and solution-focused when plans change or deadlines are tight.
- Has a full UK driving licence and access to your own transport – our office is in a rural location with limited local public transport.
Desirable experience and interests
- Experience assisting in coordinating projects, events or productions in a commercial environment.
- A genuine interest in filmmaking, video production, live events and digital media.
Salary: £25K to £28K, based on level of experience + discretionary annual bonus
Location: Primarily based at our office, near Basingstoke. However, the nature of the role will demand travel depending on projects, and potential overnight stays may be required to support projects.
Hours: 37.5 basic – Monday to Friday. However, depending on project needs in a fast-paced environment, flexibility will be required, but time in lieu will be arranged in these cases.
