Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety.
- Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Manage behavior challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques, especially for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's.
- Provide transportation support when necessary, including driving clients to appointments or outings safely.
- Monitor health status, report changes promptly, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, and senior care.
- Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is preferred.
- Have pre understanding, skill and knowledge of safe moving and handling in client care.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Able to escort service users to their appointments independently.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide exceptional caregiving support.
