We have a role for a junior baker to join our expanding multi-award winning team, in the brioche department. MCB is a North Cotswold based bakery. We create ‘real’ artisan products suppling; local shops, delis and some of the Cotswold’s best pubs, hotels and restaurants.
Based in our dedicated brioche department, you will work in a small, supportive team to create our famous high-quality semi-brioche burger buns and other enriched doughs from scratch.
No professional baking experience? No problem. We provide full, on-the-job training. If you have a background in food production, kitchen work, or simply a passion for baking and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
What You Will Learn & Do
- How to weigh ingredients and mix doughs to exact recipes.
- Techniques for dividing, shaping, and proving dough.
- Operation of commercial ovens to get the perfect bake.
- Quality control and packing products for delivery.
Shifts are from Sunday to Friday (1 pm - 9 pm). End time varies depending on customer orders. Starting salary £13.00 per hour. depending on your background experience, with a pay review after 12 weeks, min 45 hours a week, with an opportunity for more hours. Because of our scenic rural farm location, you must have a valid driving licence and your own transport.
