The Role
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a key role in supporting the pharmacist with the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions while delivering excellent customer service. You will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy and contribute to providing the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense NHS and private prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist.
- Assemble and label prescribed medicines in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with general enquiries.
- Process prescriptions using the pharmacy PMR system.
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records.
- Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, checking, and rotating stock.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, SOPs, and confidentiality requirements.
- Assist with prescription collection and delivery processes where required.
- Support pharmacy services and health promotion initiatives.
- Keep the dispensary clean, organised, and operating efficiently.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a community pharmacy.
- Dispensing experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good IT and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
- Accredited Checking or Accuracy Checking qualifications.
- Experience with NHS services and Pharmacy First.
- Knowledge of PMR systems such as ProScript Connect, Titan, or similar.
