Chef de Partie
Location: The Tollgate Inn
Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent
Hours: 3/4 days out of 7 (including weekends and evenings as required)
Essential Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a fresh food kitchen
- A genuine passion for cooking and producing high-quality dishes
- The ability to work well in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
- High standards of food quality, cleanliness and organisation
Desirable (but not essential):
- Pastry experience or pastry skills (full training can be provided)

The Tollgate Inn is a busy and well-established restaurant known for serving quality, freshly prepared food.
We're looking for a passionate Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team and work alongside our Head Chef. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, wants to develop their skills and be part of a supportive team that takes pride in delivering exceptional food.
The Role
Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking high-quality fresh food
- Running your own section during service
- Supporting the development of new dishes and seasonal menu ideas
- Ensuring food is prepared to consistently high standards
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Supporting your colleagues to deliver a smooth and successful kitchen operation

If you have pastry experience, that's a bonus—but if not, we're happy to provide training for the right person.
