Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and versatile Cafe All-Rounder / Barista to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing a variety of food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks.
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment regularly.
- Manage cash register operations, including handling payments accurately using cash or card systems.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Support team members with various tasks as required to ensure excellent customer service.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is preferred; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is required.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities are essential for multitasking effectively during busy periods.
- A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills is vital for creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
