We are looking for a motivated and experienced Café Supervisor to join our team. As a key part of our daily operations, you will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food and drink quality standards, and supporting the efficient running of the café. You will act as a role model for the team and help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver excellent customer experiences
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting
- Support the training and development of new and existing staff
- Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are adhered to
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café and service areas
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory control
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and effectively
Person Specification
Essential:
- Strong hospitality experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Confident with basic cash handling and till operations
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
Desirable:
- Barista experience or coffee knowledge
- Food hygiene or health & safety certification
- Passion for food, coffee, and hospitality
