Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Domestic and Laundry Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality cleaning and laundry services within a residential setting. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for residents and staff alike. Experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hospital environments is highly desirable. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal spaces, and laundry facilities.
- Manage laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linen and clothing items.
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and linen as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and storage areas to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with waste disposal and ensure all areas are kept hygienic at all times.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Support the team with additional tasks as required to uphold the organisation’s standards of cleanliness and comfort.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or hospital environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting laundry baskets or cleaning equipment.
