We’re looking for a VCA-trained Veterinary Receptionist / Consult Assistant to join our dedicated front-of-house and clinical support team across Warren House Vets and Vetemis Referrals.
This is a rewarding dual role where you’ll combine client-facing reception duties with hands-on consult support, helping to deliver smooth, compassionate care to pets and their owners.

What we are looking for?
- Veterinary experience is essential; VCA training is required
- A genuine love for animals and compassion for their owners
- Calm, confident animal handling skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience in reception or customer service (veterinary or medical experience a plus)
- Able to work flexibly across general practice and referral environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
What You'll Be Doing?
Reception Duties:
- Welcoming clients and managing check-ins with warmth and professionalism
- Coordinating appointments and diary management
- Answering phones, emails, and client queries efficiently
- Handling payments and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring reception areas are tidy, calm, and client-ready
Consult Support Duties:
- Assisting vets during consultations, including drawing up vaccines and preparing treatments
- Safely handling animals of all shapes and sizes
- Running in-house blood and urine samples
- Updating patient records and supporting administrative tasks
- Keeping consult rooms clean, stocked, and ready for the next patient
