Job Title: Pest Control Technician
Location: Oldham Manchester
Salary: £26,000 -£30,000 per year
Clearlands and Mcnamaras Environmental Services Ltd are recruiting for an ideal candidate to join our team covering Manchester and the surrounding areas.
Our company services residential, commercial and agricultural premises offering a full range of pest and wildlife related services. We strive to provide fast and effective pest control solutions in all aspects of pest control covering Greater Manchester and surrounding areas.
Main Duties and Responsibilities for this role:
- Responding promptly to pest related service requests and complaints.
- Assess sites and carry out risk evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Applying pesticides, traps, and baits safely and effectively, adhering to legal and professional standards.
- Establishing good relationships with clients and maintaining good levels of communication between them and the office to report on all findings and recommendations.
- Spotting potential issues, additional requirements and promoting new work as opportunities arise.
- Working in a range of challenging environments, including confined spaces, at heights and unclean or verminous properties (ability preferred but not essential).
- Conducting Site surveys on potential new sites.
- Providing expert advice on pest management and hygiene to our customers.
Job Specification and Requirements
- Full valid UK driving licence and live within a 20-mile radius of the area advertised 6 points or less.
- DBS check required.
- Customer focused
- RSPH Level 1 in Pest Management is preferable but not essential as full training can be given
- Competent written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to problem solve
- Comfortable working in demanding environments (e.g. attics, basements, infested properties)
- Some basic DIY skills essential to carry out minor proofing work
- Confident and assertive with a positive outlook
- Competent in IT systems for reports and on the job worksheets
Working Hours
Hours are Monday – Friday - 40 hours per week.
Overtime and weekends occasionally available.
