In your capacity as Duty Manager at our flagship, exclusive residential health club in central London, you will support the effective delivery of daily operations and contribute to an exceptional leisure and wellness experience for residents and their guests.
We are seeking an accomplished fitness professional who is motivated to combine strong operational management skills with practical experience in delivering group exercise classes and personal training.
You will be responsible for supporting the smooth and safe running of the club, ensuring high standards of service, presentation, and health and safety are maintained at all times. Reporting directly to the Club Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, support resident engagement, manage bookings and enquiries, and help create a welcoming environment where residents feel valued, safe, and well looked after. This role operates on a shift rota, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Operations:
- Oversee all day-to-day Health Club operations, including opening/closing procedures and facility walk-throughs.
· Manage the safety and presentation of the gym, pool, and associated wellness areas by supervising procedures, enforcing club standards, and overseeing routine water-quality testing.
- Manage transactions through PDQ Readers.
· Coordinate resident bookings, inductions, classes, and wellness activities, ensuring smooth organisation and a high-quality experience.
· Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and readiness of all public-facing club areas to ensure they consistently reflect premium brand standards.
Customer Experience & Community Building:
· Support the delivery of a calendar of resident wellness and community events that encourage engagement and help foster a strong sense of community.
· Handle resident enquiries and bookings efficiently and professionally, ensuring a seamless service experience from first contact through to delivery.
- Provide on-boarding induction tours and re-orientation to new and returning residents.
- Gather resident feedback to continuously enhance the Health Club experience.
Health & Safety:
- Conduct and document opening/closing safety checks, pool/spa water tests, and facility inspections per schedule. (full training will be given)
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations (e.g., NPLQ, Pool Plant Operator standards).
- Act as Emergency Responder/First Aider when required, responding swiftly to incidents.
- Report accidents, near-misses, and defects to the Club Manager as well as Estate Management Team and follow through on corrective actions.

Skills and Experience
Must Have
· Previous experience in a Duty Manager, leisure, hospitality, or premium customer service role.
· Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification.
Desirable:
· Experience working within luxury residential, leisure, hospitality, or wellness environments.
· Strong customer service, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
· Awareness of health and safety procedures within a leisure, spa, or residential environment.
· First Aid, pool responder, or leisure-related qualifications would be advantageous.
· Experience delivering gym inductions, fitness consultations, or personal training would be advantageous, as these form part of the day-to-day resident experience.
· A proactive, hands-on approach with the flexibility to support a varied shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: £14.80 per hour
