Gilfresh Produce Ltd is seeking to recruit a Line Leader to join our production team within our fast-growing FMCG family business. The successful candidate will lead production activities within the Packhouse to ensure products meet customer specifications while achieving maximum efficiency.

Salary: £14.87ph
Hours: 40 hours per week |Monday to Saturday, 5:45 AM – 3:00 PM (with one scheduled day off per week)
The Role
People
As a key part of the Operations Team, you will work collaboratively with operatives on the line to deliver the right results.
- Lead with Respect: Motivate, supervise, and cross-train a diverse, multi-cultural team of process operatives on your packing line.
- Communicate Clearly: Deliver positive shift briefings, clear packaging instructions, and hourly target expectations to your team.
- Enforce Safety: Actively champion and monitor Health & Safety, food hygiene, and allergen protocols, ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times.
- Collaborate: Partner closely with Quality Control, Engineering, and Shift Managers to keep the line running smoothly and minimize mechanical downtime.
Planet
- Audit Readiness: Keep your designated packing line meticulously clean and "audit-ready" at all times to meet unannounced BRCGS and supermarket inspections.
- Target Waste: Enforce our "Clean As You Go" policy and actively minimize raw material giveaway and packaging scrap.
- Manage Resources: Monitor line machinery to prevent unnecessary energy consumption and packaging material waste.
Prosperity
- Lean Thinking: Actively support and implement "Two Second Lean" processes to identify small daily improvements, eliminate bottlenecks, and boost OEE.
- Own Your KPIs: Take accountability for your line's performance, driving continuous improvement in packing speed, weight accuracy, and product quality.
- Plan Resources: Work with management to balance and adjust labor allocations on your line to match customer orders.
- Keep Perfect Records: Complete written and digital production and traceability records with 100% accuracy.
The Person:
