TDK is a supplier to some of the most diverse, technology based and original equipment manufacturers worldwide including global organisations within the Industrial, Medical and Test & Measurement markets.
The scope of this role is to support our global customer base and international TDK-Lambda intercompany business partners, this includes both UK and TDK-Lambda group products. The position offers excellent exposure to a wide range of business sectors and their applications, providing a strong foundation for professional growth while developing both technical knowledge and customer-facing experience.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Respond and monitor all channels of communication from customers, TDK global intercompany business partners and the European Customer Support Centre.
- Liaise closely with the TDK-Lambda global technical support network and customers, providing detailed technical assistance.
- Recommend and discuss suitable TDK-Lambda products and alternatives.
- Assist with product selection, option(s) and configuration(s) available.
- Maintain and troubleshoot databases used to configure TDK-Lambda UK product.
- Enter and manage TDK-Lambda UK product descriptions within the material planning system.
- Liaise with Sales, Field Application Engineers, Marketing and R&D when investigating customer solutions.
- Liaise with all internal departments when required to answer TDK product enquiries.
- Generate Production Stops, Waivers and Product Change Notifications when necessary.
- Maintain Non-Catalogue requests, database and weekly reviews.
- Attend the TDK-Lambda, European Sales conference.
Working week: Monday to Thursday 8 am – 4:45 pm, 30-minute lunch
Friday 8 am – 12:30 pm
Skills required:
- This customer-facing position requires exceptional communication skills, an engaging phone manner, and confidence when video conferencing.
- Maths at Grade B or 6 and English at GCSE Grade C or 4/5 is essential. GCSE Physics would be desirable.
- Ideally, the successful candidate will have some basic Power Supply and electronics knowledge.
- The ability to work as part of a team, manage workload, prioritise tasks, be outgoing with an interest in problem solving.
The successful candidate must be prepared to study EAL L3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Electronics) through day release
Qualifications required: Maths at Grade B or 6 and English at GCSE Grade C or 4/5 is essential.

Salary: Grade 4 progressing into Grade 3
