Duties
- Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and comfort during outings.
- Provide basic care for dogs, including feeding, administering medication if required, and ensuring they have access to water.
- Maintain a clean environment by picking up after the dogs during walks.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behaviour and any concerns that may arise during walks.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by building rapport with clients and addressing their needs promptly.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as assisting with larger breeds or carrying supplies.
- Stay informed about canine behaviour and health to ensure the safety of all animals in your care.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or veterinary settings is highly desirable but not essential.
- A strong understanding of dog behaviour and handling techniques is beneficial.
- Excellent customer service skills are crucial for maintaining positive relationships with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, particularly when managing larger dogs or equipment.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care is essential for success in this role.
