Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pot Washer/Kitchen Assistant who is 15+ to join our culinary team. This role involves supporting the kitchen operations by ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organised, and eager to contribute to a smooth-running kitchen environment. Previous experience in food preparation or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Responsible for washing pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and hygienically.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
- Support the cleaning and sanitising of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to maintain health and safety standards.
- Help with organising stock and ensuring all items are stored correctly.
- Assist with serving food and beverages when required.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times.
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen duties as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
- A positive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
