The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Floor Layer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the preparation and installation of various flooring materials including:
- Vinyl (including cap and cove)
- Carpets/Carpet Tiles
- LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile)
- Laminate and hardwood
- Safety flooring and rubber
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit accurately
- Prepare subfloors by levelling, cleaning, and priming
- Install flooring to a high standard of finish
- Work independently or as part of a team on-site
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Ensure all work meets health and safety guidelines
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a floor layer
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans/drawings
- Valid CSCS card (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence (essential if driving company van)
- Punctual, professional, and reliable
