Overview
JRM Electrical Contractors Ltd are expanding our compliance division and are seeking experienced Electrical Inspection & Testing Engineers to carry out EICR testing within domestic council properties across the Sandwell area.
This role is ideal for engineers who are confident working independently, have strong testing and reporting skills, and want the opportunity to maximise earnings through highly competitive price‑per‑test rates.
You will be joining a growing, reputable contractor with long‑term contracts and consistent workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- EICR Testing — Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports within domestic council housing.
- Fault Identification — Diagnose issues and record accurate observations and coding.
- Remedial Recommendations — Provide clear, compliant recommendations for remedial works.
- Certification — Complete all digital paperwork to a high standard.
- Compliance — Ensure all work meets NICEIC and BS 7671 requirements.
- Professional Conduct — Represent the company professionally in occupied domestic environments.
What You’ll Need
- ECS Gold Card – Required
- NVQ Level 3
- AM2
- 18th Edition Regulations (C&G 2382)
- C&G 2391 / 2394/2395 – Essential for inspection & testing
- Minimum 2 years’ domestic testing experience
- Strong understanding of EICR coding, safety, and compliance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Full UK driving licence

Location Requirements
You must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Brierley Hill (DY5 3LG) before starting. Work will be carried out across the Sandwell region.
