Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the maintenance and repair of the nursing home to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong maintenance background, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. .
Duties
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks across our nursing home
- Support basic electrical/plumbing repairs.
- Painting and decorating skills.
- Garden maintenance.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they result in equipment failure.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance roles preferable but not essential.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to maintenance activities.
- Full UK driving license and access to own reliable vehicle essential.
- Enhanced Disclosure required if successful.
