Creative Explorers Day Nursery and Preschool is looking for a warm, confident and enthusiastic Early Years Class Teacher to join our team.
We are a nurturing, creative and child-centred nursery where children are encouraged to become Curious, Confident, Kind and Brave. Our approach is rooted in hands-on learning, exploration, strong relationships and purposeful play.
This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced early years practitioner or teacher who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning, independence and development.
About the role
As an Early Years Class Teacher, you will lead high-quality learning experiences for children in the early years. You will create a calm, engaging and well-prepared environment where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn.
You will plan and deliver meaningful activities in line with the EYFS, observe children’s progress, support individual next steps and work closely with families and colleagues.
Key responsibilities
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging EYFS learning experiences
- Create a warm, safe and stimulating classroom environment
- Support children’s communication, confidence, independence and social skills
- Use observations to plan meaningful next steps
- Build strong, caring relationships with children and families
- Promote positive behaviour, kindness and emotional well-being
- Support children with different needs, including SEND and EAL
- Work closely with the room team, SENCO, management and parents
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, welfare and health and safety
- Communicate clearly and professionally through daily updates and parent conversations

Essential requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status, Early Years Teacher Status or Early Years Professional Status
- Experience working with children in the early years
- Good understanding of the EYFS
- Strong safeguarding awareness
- Good spoken and written English
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience supporting children with SEND
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid
- Experience using Famly or similar nursery software
