Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. Responsibilities
- Washing, drying, and storing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly to ensure a steady supply for kitchen operations
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Supporting the organisation of storage areas by rotating stock and ensuring items are stored correctly
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with environmental policies
- Ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed at all times during daily operations
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods by providing general assistance as required
Experience
While previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is desirable, it is not essential as full training will be provided. Candidates with backgrounds in food preparation or hospitality—such as restaurant experience, hotel work, or culinary roles—will find this position particularly suitable. A keen interest in the culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills are highly valued.
