As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is ideal for a chef with a passion for authentic Indian cooking, including curries, tandoori dishes, regional specialities, and traditional breads, who also enjoys contributing fresh ideas and creativity to menu development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Indian curries, tandoori dishes, starters, breads, and regional specialities
- Produce fresh sauces, marinades, spice blends, and curry bases
- Maintain exceptional standards of flavour, quality, and presentation
- Contribute to menu innovation, seasonal specials, and new dish development
- Ensure excellent food hygiene, organisation, and kitchen safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver outstanding service
Requirements
- 6–8 years' experience as an Indian Chef in India or within an established Indian restaurant
- Strong knowledge of Indian curries, tandoori cooking, regional cuisine, spices, and traditional techniques
- Passion for quality, consistency, and innovation
- Professional, reliable, and able to perform well in a busy kitchen
- NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent) is desirable
- Right to work in the UK
- Able to commute to Gateshead NE8 2AT
