Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Fire & Security Installer and Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of fire safety and security systems, ensuring they operate flawlessly to protect people and property. Responsibilities
- Install fire alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, access control, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and other security hardware according to schematics and system design plans.
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing fire and security systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to accurately assemble and configure complex systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate with construction teams during site setup, ensuring all electrical wiring, telecommunication connections, and mechanical components are correctly integrated.
- Diagnose electrical issues or hardware failures using electrical experience and computer networking knowledge; resolve problems promptly.
- Document all service activities thoroughly in reports, logs, and maintenance records for accountability and future reference.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for effective installation and troubleshooting of security systems.
- Proficiency in computer networking, system design, and understanding of schematics related to fire alarms and security infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), telecommunication wiring, and power tools.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components relevant to security system integration.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed schematics for system setup.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building sites enhances installation efficiency in diverse environments.
- Excellent hand tool skills combined with mechanical aptitude to handle various installation tasks confidently.
