We are now looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Senior Warehouse Operative. This is a unique hybrid position that combines operational warehouse responsibilities with team support and customer-facing duties, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step towards a First Line Manager (FLM) role.
Working on a customer site, you'll act as the link between warehouse operations and frontline management, helping to keep the operation running smoothly while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
✅WHAT YOU'LL DO
Warehouse Support & Coordination (20-30%)Support First Line Managers with day-to-day operational activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve warehouse-related issues.
Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
Handle telephone enquiries and provide updates where required.
Utilise Microsoft Office applications to maintain reports, records and operational data.
Assist in coordinating workloads and supporting operational efficiency.
Warehouse Operations (70-80%)Picking and packing customer orders.
Loading and unloading vehicles.
General warehouse duties and stock handling.
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety.
Supporting the wider warehouse team to achieve daily targets.
What We're Looking ForEssentialStrong communication skills and confidence using the telephone.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work in a customer-facing environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
Organised, proactive and capable of working independently.
DesirableMHE experience, particularly Counterbalance (CB) and Reach Truck licences/experience. (Please note: MHE experience is beneficial but not essential, as training may be provided for the right candidate.)
Previous experience supporting team leaders or supervisors advantageous
