A great opportunity has arisen for the role of General Manager at Bowland Beer Hall, Clitheroe.
The Beer Hall is known for its wide range of cask ales, great food and fabulous entertainment. Experience at General Manager level in a busy, wet led business is essential. Experience in operational delivery of weddings desirable.
The ideal candidate will grow with the role and there will be development opportunities along the way.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for running and managing the establishment: leading, managing and developing the staff team and ensuring that every guest receives exceptional service. You'll be responsible for meeting challenging targets and ensuring you have the best team to achieve them.
You'll work hard to create and maintain our reputation as a venue of choice, promoting and demonstrating the James' Places brand & values at all times. You'll be responsible for executing the business plan, ensuring it is communicated to staff, regularly reviewing and highlighting areas of concern.
Essential Criteria
- the ideal candidate will have at least two years experience within a General Manager position
- strong problem solver
- motivated to deliver with a strong customer orientation and understanding of service delivery
- ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and be an effective member of a virtual team
- strong project management and personal organisational skills with the ability to balance a number of differing priorities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
