We are currently looking for a reliable, customer-focused Evening Sales Assistant to join our team for an immediate start.
About the Role
This is a part-time evening position, ideal for someone looking for additional income, students, or individuals seeking evening work.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working in retail, is confident engaging with customers, and can work independently while maintaining high standards throughout the store.
The role also involves manual handling and stock movement, so applicants should be comfortable with physical retail duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming shopping experience.
- Actively support sales through customer engagement and product knowledge.
- Operate the till and process cash and card transactions accurately.
- Restock shelves, rotate products, and maintain stock availability.
- Receive deliveries and carry out manual handling safely.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and visual merchandising.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or issues.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Follow company procedures, health and safety requirements, and operational standards.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is essential.
- Confident working independently and taking initiative.
- Physically fit and able to lift and move stock safely.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude with a strong customer-focused approach.
- Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
Working Hours
Location: Dunfermline, Fife (KY12 8DA)
Hours:
- Monday to Saturday
- 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- 18 hours per week
- Additional hours may be available based on business needs.
Preferred Experience
- Retail Sales: 1 year
- Customer Service: 1 year
- Manual Handling: 1 year
Education
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Language
English (required)
Work Authorisation
Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dunfermline KY12 8DA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
