Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundrette Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the daily operation of the laundrette, ensuring laundry is processed efficiently and to a high standard. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean and organised working environment while assisting with the washing, drying, folding, and preparation of linen.
This position is available on a full-time or part-time, 6-month fixed-term basis, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and preparing linen to a high standard
- Operating commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment
- Checking laundry items for damage or stains and reporting any issues
- Ensuring linen is neatly folded, packaged, and ready for distribution
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the laundrette area
- Monitoring detergent and supply levels and reporting when stock is low
- Assisting with loading and unloading laundry deliveries where required
- Supporting the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of handling laundry loads and standing for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, or cleaning role is beneficial but not essential
Working Hours
Flexible working arrangements may be available, including:
- Full-time hours
- Part-time hours
- 6-month fixed-term contract (with the possibility of extension)
Shifts may include weekdays and weekends depending on operational needs.
