We're looking for an experienced Commercial & Performance Manager to help transform the performance of our Voids and Lettings service.
This is an opportunity to shape how one of our most important frontline services measures success, delivers value for money and improves outcomes for tenants. Working alongside operational leaders, you'll use commercial insight, performance data and financial expertise to drive continuous improvement, strengthen contractor accountability and support better decision making across the service.
What you'll be doing:
This isn't an operational management role. Instead you'll own the framework that measures, monitors and improves service performance.
Working closely with managers across the service, you will:
Lead the service's performance framework, ensuring clear oversight of operational delivery, financial performance and customer outcomes.
Drive commercial performance and value for money through effective commercial management of contractors and suppliers, holding them accountable for delivery agreed outcomes.
Provide robust financial governance through budget monitoring, forecasting and performance assurance.
Analyse performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve service delivery.
Coordinate end-to-end improvement plans, ensuring actions are delivered and benefits are realised.
Produce high-quality performance reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Coach, influence and constructively challenge colleagues, to improve performance without having direct line management responsibility.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors, to create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
About you:
You'll bring a blend of commercial, operational and analytical experience, together with the confidence to influence at all levels. You'll have:
Experience improving performance within a complex operational environment.
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing contractor or supplier performance.
Sound financial management skills, including budget management, forecasting and delivering value for money.
The ability to interpret complex performance data and translate it into practical improvements.
Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to coach, support and constructively challenge others.
Ideally, experience within housing, property or another regulated operational environment.
Why join us?
This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a high-profile service area. You'll join a team that values collaboration, professionalism and constructive challenge, with the chance to shape how performance and improvement are managed across Voids and Lettings. If you can combine operational understanding with commercial rigour, build trusted relationships and turn performance insight into meaningful improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
