The Role
Juniper Rentals is looking for an experienced and highly practical Property Maintenance Lead to support our growing portfolio of short-term holiday lets.
This is primarily a hands-on role rather than a desk-based management position. You will work on the tools, manage a varied workload and take maintenance jobs from initial report through to completion. You will also coordinate and supervise members of our internal trades and maintenance support team when required.
You will work closely with the Property Operations Manager, Maintenance Coordinator, Property Managers and wider Operations team. You will also coordinate and work alongside external trades when specialist work or additional support is required.
Typical work will include painting, grouting, silicone work, minor plumbing repairs, furniture repairs, changing fittings, repressurising boilers and general property maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
· Complete day-to-day repairs and planned preventative maintenance.
· Investigate faults and identify practical, cost-effective solutions.
· Manage and prioritise jobs in collaboration with the wider team.
· Respond promptly to issues affecting guests.
· Coordinate external trades, obtain quotes for owners and check completed work.
· Allocate and coordinate suitable work across Juniper’s internal trades and maintenance support team.
· Provide clear direction, monitor progress and check that internally completed work meets Juniper’s standards.
· Maintain accurate digital job records, including photographs, costs and updates.
· Attend occupied properties professionally and with minimal disruption to guests.
· Recognise when work must be referred to an appropriately qualified specialist.
· Follow Juniper’s health and safety procedures.
About You
· Strong building trades or property maintenance experience, with broad hands-on skills.
· Previous experience working within a company environment as part of a wider team.
· A genuine team player who can work independently, follow agreed priorities and respond positively to direction.
· Experience coordinating external trades and obtaining quotes.
· The ability to coordinate, support and provide clear direction to internal trades and maintenance colleagues.
· Excellent organisation, communication and practical problem-solving skills.
· Good computer literacy and confidence using multiple apps and digital systems.
· Professional and customer-focused when dealing with guests and owners.
· A full, clean UK driving licence.
· The ability to travel independently to and from Juniper’s Stirling office each working day.
· Flexibility to travel to all Juniper locations during working hours.
· Full flexibility across seven days, including weekend working when operationally required.
· The physical ability to undertake practical maintenance work safely.
· The right to work in the UK and excellent, checkable references.
Relevant trade qualifications and experience within short-term lets, hotels or serviced accommodation would be beneficial.
