Position: Riding Instructor G4
Location: Pontcanna Fields, Cardiff, CF5 2AY

Contract Duration: 2+ Months
Working Hours: 8 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £13.47 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver horse riding lessons to riders of all ages and abilities
- Teach both group and private riding sessions
- Plan and deliver safe, engaging, and progressive lessons
- Assess riders' abilities and adapt instruction to meet individual needs
- Promote safe riding practices and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
- Provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to help riders improve their skills and confidence
- Monitor the welfare of horses during lessons and report any concerns
- Prepare horses and equipment for lessons where required
- Maintain accurate attendance records and lesson information
- Provide excellent customer service to riders, parents, and visitors
- Ensure the riding arena and equipment are safe, clean, and ready for use
- Support the day-to-day operation of the riding centre as required
Person Specification:
- Experience teaching horse riding to riders of different ages and abilities
- Ability to deliver both group and one-to-one riding lessons
- Good knowledge of horse care, riding techniques, and safety practices
- Strong communication and coaching skills
- Ability to build confidence and encourage rider development
- Calm, patient, and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends if required
- Relevant equestrian coaching or riding instructor qualification is desirable
- First Aid qualification is desirable
