Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, friendly and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Manager to lead our outstanding team at Judges Bakery Tenterden. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily running of the shop, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the coffee shop, including opening and closing procedures.
- Responsible for cash handling procedures and daily banking.
- Supervise and motivate staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery, ensuring company policies are followed and the correct performance management procedures are followed.
- Maintaining a rolling monthly staff rota which is sent out in the middle of each month for the following month. Ensuring total hours for the month are not exceeding the allowance. This includes ensuring there is adequate holiday cover.
- Submitting monthly rota for payroll, ensuring all clock ins match the rota and any discrepancies advised to office
- Responsible for the Health & Hygiene of the shop, ensuring prove it records are kept and all processes followed as required, including training of staff and adequate document keeping.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food production processes to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, including food safety protocols.
- Maintain stock levels, place orders, and manage stock ordering effectively.
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for the onboarding, induction and training of all staff members for Coffee Training, Health & Safety, Health & Hygiene, Judges Customer Service Etiquette, Food preparation
- Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, ideally within a café or coffee shop setting.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Demonstrable supervisory experience with team management skills
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary.
- Organised with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £27,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
