Job Summary
We’re excited to welcome a friendly and enthusiastic Tutor to join our team at our thriving tuition centre! We’re looking for someone who can support us on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings, and/or Thursday & Friday evenings from 4pm to 6:15pm.
In this role, you’ll provide warm, encouraging academic support to students in Years 3–9 across both English and Maths. You’ll help them strengthen key skills, grow their confidence, and discover the joy of learning. If you have a passion for education, plenty of patience, and the ability to adapt your teaching to suit different learning styles, we’d love to hear from you!
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for small groups of no more than 3 students
- Plan for lessons in both English & Maths
- Encourage positive study habits and independent learning.
- Prepare personalised lesson plans based on students’ needs and school curriculum.
- Assess students’ progress and tailor sessions to individual learning needs.
- Provide regular feedback to parents and/or the tutoring coordinator.
Requirements
- A Degree Level Qualification
- A patient, supportive, and motivating teaching style
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the primary or middle school level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred
* Knowledge of National Curriculum Standards (e.g., UK National Curriculum, Common
Core, etc.).
* DBS – preferably on the update service
* Experience of tutoring small groups
