Experienced Service Charge Accountant

Nexus Recruitment have been instructed by an established managing agent in the UK, on exciting new positions within their property management finance department. Our client are looking for experienced Senior Service Charge Accountants to look after mixed leasehold portfolios independently. Core responsibilities:
- Analysis financial data provided by previous agents and reconciled to ensure everything provided is correct
- Fully responsible for a Central London portfolio of accounts, managing service charges with multiple schedules
- Load the financial data onto the finance system, including customer debt
- Prepare the first set of accounts that will be a combination of previous agent and your current employer’s data. This includes liaising with auditors, PM's and clients where needed
- Report to the wider business on the missing information required and ensure that regular follow ups are carried out to assist the wider business with executive, high risk and contentious complaints.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a prime portfolio with prestigious clients, working closely with property managers and all stakeholders. The following skillset/experience is preferred:
- Extensive knowledge within service charge accounting is essential, candidates without this experience will not be considered
- A proven track record working on demanding portfolios with multiple schedules
- Industry relevant qualifications (preferred but not essential)
- An independent worker, able to meet deadlines but also work collaboratively within the team
