Role Description
This is a freelance, contract Line Dance Instructor role for weekly work in Cardiff, Swansea, and Bristol, United Kingdom. The Line Dance Instructor will teach engaging country western line dance classes and workshops for diverse groups at events and regular sessions providing clear, supportive instruction. The role involves following a pre-determined lesson plan supplied by The Country Roses, teaching classes on a mic, and maintaining a professional, welcoming atmosphere for participants. The instructor will hold valid teaching insurance, uphold safety standards, and represent The Country Roses UK brand with authenticity and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess professional skills in Dance and Music, with the ability to move confidently to rhythm and demonstrate a range of country western line dance steps.
- Candidates should possess skills in Dance Instruction and Teaching, including clear communication, class management, and the ability to guide learners of varying experience levels.
- Candidates should possess skills in Dance Education, such as breaking down choreography.
- Previous experience teaching group dance classes or workshops, ideally in line dancing or other dance and fitness styles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an inclusive, encouraging, and enthusiastic approach to participants from all backgrounds and abilities.
- Reliability in maintaining schedules, responding to email communication, and meeting commitments in different venues.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by teaching schedules.
- Formal dance training, teaching certifications, or performance experience are highly beneficial but not strictly required if equivalent practical experience is demonstrated.
